My name is Richard, I am an NHS surgeon, I have lived in Bourne End for five years. I contacted the Loft Access Company to help enable us to have better access to our loft, and also to improve our insulation. 

 

Unfortunately, when we bought our house it had very poor loft insulation making our house very cold in Winter and a loft access hatch in a terrible location over a bath making it very unsafe and difficult to access. Additionally, although our loft is big, it was not very usable because of some large obsolete water tanks taking up space.

In addition to installing new insulation, Rob advised on the best location to site a new loft hatch and a suitable ladder to allow easy access; he also recommended installing wooden boarding on top of the joists to give us a solid floor that we can walk on and store things on safely and easily. In addition Rob also recommended installing some new lights in the loft. 

 

There was the issue of removing the old water tanks but Rob recommended a fantastic plumber and coordinated the whole project with efficiency and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble and all these suggestions were fantastic. The loft has been transformed into a much more usable space and all in just 2 days. 

 

The service was excellent. Rob has a superb professional manner and I really appreciated the way he listened to what I wanted to achieve and then advised on how best to get there. Elements that I thought might be quite challenging, he was able to reassure me were straightforward. The quality of work is of an exceedingly high standard and I am incredibly pleased with the finished project. The project was carried out exactly when arranged and each day the house was left clean and tidy. 

 

I feel the project was exceptionally good value for money considering the amount of work done and the quality. There were no surprise extra costs added to the initial quote. I also found the itemised quote particularly useful as it allowed me to easily see the relative costs of different parts of the work.
